The Arts of "Sadou" and "Kimono", Brought Together
Japanese tea ceremony is not just tea with rules; it encompasses etiquette, philosophy, religion, fine art (including flower arranging, calligraphy, kimono, and ceramics), and a host of other fields. Famous practitioners of tea ceremony can study it for a lifetime in the quest for perfection.
However, odds are you don't have that kind of time to spare; that's why GenkiJACS is proud to offer 3 special tea ceremony courses combining study of traditional "Urasenke" tea ceremony with kimono fitting.

Each course is designed for different learner goals. All courses are taught by a fully certified teacher, who has also been trained specifically in teaching sadou to foreigners. Your teacher holds the second highest of all Urasenke tea ceremony certifications, "Chamei" (somewhat equivalent to a tenured professorship) and also speaks English.
