In fact, the custom of posing for photos is such a big deal here that there are <a href=\"http:\/\/matome.naver.jp\/odai\/2138138192231773401\">websites<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biranger.jp\/archives\/118038\">blog posts<\/a>, and even <a href=\"http:\/\/warotter.asia\/archives\/9134\">TV show segments<\/a> entirely dedicated to the most recent popular &#8220;kawaii&#8221; poses for girls.<\/p>\n<p>And in one survey ran by one of the above-mentioned TV show segments, almost all of the participants said that they knew and utilized the most recent poses in their photos.<\/p>\n<p>One pose that recently made news over here is the \u866b\u6b6f\u30dd\u30fc\u30ba (\u3080\u3057\u3070\u30dd\u30fc\u30ba &#8211; &#8220;cavity pose&#8221;) &#8211; one hand held at a slight angle over the cheek, creating a slimming line to give the appearance of a thinner face (so called because it gives the appearance of having a toothache!)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20141015-untitled-3.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" alt=\"20141015-untitled-3.jpg\" title=\"20141015-untitled-3.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20141015-untitled-4.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" alt=\"20141015-untitled-4.jpg\" title=\"20141015-untitled-4.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20141015-untitled-5.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" alt=\"20141015-untitled-5.jpg\" title=\"20141015-untitled-5.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>In fact, the pose has gained so much popularity that magazines aimed at young women feature it frequently on their covers.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20141015-untitled-1.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" alt=\"20141015-untitled-1.jpg\" title=\"20141015-untitled-1.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>A variation of this pose is called the \u982c\u306b\u624b\u30dd\u30fc\u30ba (\u307b\u307b\u306b\u3066\u30dd\u30fc\u30ba &#8211; &#8220;hands on cheek pose&#8221;), where both hands are placed on the face at a slight angle.
