This should come as no surprise considering that this great country is ahead in most global rankings, but this time it was driven by the students insights. It was the result of a data-driven comparative analysis of seven unique categories that were decided by students regarding their most important considerations when choosing a study abroad destination and existing country rankings.<\/p>\n

In a survey of over 20,000 international students, they were asked their priorities when choosing a study abroad destination, which resulted in these final categories:<\/p>\n

\n\u25cf To achieve career goals
\n\u25cf To have an adventure
\n\u25cf To make new friends\/widen professional network
\n\u25cf To access higher quality teaching
\n\u25cf To study for free
\n\u25cf To attain a visa<\/p>\n

Using this data, a detailed and objective research of several global rankings ensued to consider other factors relevant to students living abroad, such as quality of life, cost of living and work opportunities, all of which were assigned to one of the chosen categories. And the results are in: Japan ranked second best study destination in Asia!<\/p>\n

The third largest economy in the world, Japan also happens to be an educational powerhouse, home to three of the top 100 universities worldwide<\/a>.
