GenkiJACS vs Coronavirus – is a strong statement. But we welcome students from all over the world and since the world is a small place we are fighting against it. The current situation becomes outdated an hour later, and yesterday`s news seems like it took place months ago. You deserve to be as up-to-date as possible, and we want to offer a little bit of light!<\/p>\n

Life in Japan<\/h3>\n

Coronavirus had an effect on every aspect of life all around the world, but it is one thing to watch the news and another to hear someone’s personal experience. <\/p>\n

We are a company, but a company is a collection of people working together, and each one of us has to adjust, even if just a little bit, to ensure that our friends, families and co-workers are safe and sound. <\/p>\n

\"Our<\/p>\n

Japan is an incredible place, where, for the most part, if there is a rule, it is followed by the general population. We are told not to go out too much, or to avoid social gatherings; we do it. Only those who have to go to work, go to work. During the daily commute, we wear masks and keep a respectful distance from our fellow passengers. <\/p>\n

The atmosphere is very different in every city. Still, as a whole, Japan took this situation in with a stoic resolution to keep the disease at bay for as long as possible and be respectful towards each other. <\/p>\n

Tokyo School<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n

We said it times-again, but it is worth repeating. We value our students` safety, above all else and because of that we have adopted these (link) measures to ensure your health. Though it was a tough decision, we have decided to close our Tokyo school temporarily. We will stop all in-person classes in Tokyo and offer online lessons exclusively for two weeks from 6th April to 17th April 2020.<\/b><\/p>\n

\"Kyoto<\/p>\n

We have already contacted every student affected by this decision and arranging their studies. Some have chosen to move to other cities – Fukuoka<\/a> and Kyoto<\/a>. It is a benefit of having centralised, homogenised scheduling where our students can move from one campus to another with little or no changes to their classes. We are working around the clock to make this transition as smooth as possible.
\nSome students love Tokyo so much; they decided to stay and take lessons through Zoom<\/a>. We set up a system where if you can`t come to school in person, doesn`t mean that you have to miss out on studying with us! For more info have a look here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

New Cancellation Policy<\/h3>\n

Our cancellation policies are updated as well<\/a>, to provide you with the flexibility we all need in these difficult times. If you have to postpone your course because coronavirus, you can do it very easily, without any additional costs as flexibility is what is so sorely needed right now. Better yet, we want you to keep learning, even if you are at home in self-isolation.
