How does the table work?

  • Click on a character to hear our teacher say it
  • Click on the icon to see the stroke order of the kana
  • Click on the button at the bottom to switch between hiragana and katakana
  • An advice: the best way to learn the kana, is to write them, again and again and again, until you memorize them

Discover our courses

Genki Japanese and Culture school accepts students of various Japanese levels, and if you have never studied Japanese before, we got you covered with our Core Japanese course starting at a complete beginner level. The only condition to join us is to know the hiragana alphabet*, so if you have played with our quiz above, and tested yourself and know all of the hiragana alphabet, come and join us, so we can teach you more and show you how cool Japan is!

Our Core Japanese Course, running for a special course length of 40 or 60 weeks, with an additional 6~20 weeks of vacation. Available at a discount.

The Summer Course is a special package program offered only during Summer at Genki Japanese and Culture School. It combines the best, most fun activities of our culture courses with special services only available to minors.
