The Seasons of Japan: Autumn in Kyoto module combines Japanese language study with carefully selected cultural experiences, giving you the chance to discover Kyoto during one of its most celebrated seasons. Through seasonal activities and a guided day trip, you'll deepen your understanding of Japanese culture while creating unforgettable memories alongside students from around the world.

Few places in Japan celebrate autumn quite like Kyoto. As the former imperial capital, the city becomes even more breathtaking beneath vibrant maple leaves. Crisp air, colourful landscapes, and seasonal traditions make autumn one of the best times to experience Kyoto's rich cultural heritage. Our new Kyoto campus, located in the heart of the city, provides the perfect base for exploring famous landmarks, seasonal events, and authentic local culture beyond the classroom. With comfortable temperatures and stunning autumn scenery, there's no better time to improve your Japanese while experiencing one of Japan's most iconic seasons.

Flexible Add-on Option
Available 2nd – 13th November, this module is open to all Japanese levels, exclusive to the Kyoto campus, and can be added to your existing or longer GenkiJACS course.

Add four extra classes each week of conversational Japanese. These extra classes focus on some of the interesting aspects of conversational Japanese such as slang, dialects, specialized vocabulary, and more.
