The Green Course at GenkiJACS combines Japanese language learning with environmental action, community engagement, and sustainability-focused experiences. Use Japanese in real-world settings while taking part in projects that support local communities and the environment. Location

Our beautiful Okinawa school is in the biggest city in Okinawa, Naha City, and just minutes from the monorail line, for convenient access to the airport or downtown. A short monorail or bus ride takes you to Kokusai Street, the tourist center of the city, while world-class beaches and incredible tourist activities are another bus ride away. School Facilities

Our 5 spacious Japanese classrooms and student lounge all have large south-facing windows with a clear view of Okinawa’s beautiful blue sky. Classrooms are decorated in the local island style, the entrance is surrounded by tropical plants, and the lounge is a great place to brush up your Japanese. The school is a gorgeously designed open building that will inspire your studies and feel like a home away from home!

 Entry Requirement JLPT N5 Level or previous Japanese study experience

Add four extra classes each week of conversational Japanese. These extra classes focus on some of the interesting aspects of conversational Japanese such as slang, dialects, specialized vocabulary, and more.

Learn about the wonderful culture of Japan while learning the language. You will have 2-3 "cultural experience" lessons every Saturday, including Okinawa's traditional culture learning!

HOMESTAY

You will become a member of a Japanese family. Practise the Japanese you learned in school at your Okinawa home. Learn what a real Japanese home is like. Breakfast and dinner included.
