Plus Marine Activities

Want to experience the best of Okinawa’s famous waters while mastering the Japanese language? This extra module can be added to your core Japanese course and will have you exploring the island by all modes of water transport, and enjoying yourself like never before. Okinawa is well known throughout Japan and the world for the beauty of its beaches and oceans, and there are numerous ways to traverse them. GenkiJACS has partnered with some of the best providers to bring you their marine activities at the lowest possible price, without sacrificing quality. From diving with tropical fish to learning all about how people are protecting nature, you’ll never run out of things to do!

Example activities

This course gives you the chance to experience some or all of the activities below. Available activities depend on the season and on student numbers, but we do our best to make your experience unforgettable! Activities can be such as:

  • Snorkeling, Introductory Diving, Sea Fishing
  • SUP, Surfing, Wakeboarding, Windsurfing, Flyboarding, Parasailing
  • Sea Kayaking, Jet Skiing, Banana Boat, Wakeboarding
  • Yacht Cruise
  • Whale Watching
  • Uninhabited Island Tour
  • Motor Paragliding, Yacht Lesson
  • World Famous Aquarium
  • Marine Conservation Activities

Module Details

  2-3 activities per week
  Activities held on weekdays and Saturdays
  Only available in Okinawa Campus
  Available every week, all year long
  Available to all levels
  Not available to people 60 or older, or with some physical restrictions
  Max length: 4 weeks
  Activities may have to be cancelled due to local conditions. In this case, they will be rescheduled or refunded.

No, the activities are decided per week according to the monthly schedule.
Yes, but the schedule is only out around 1 month before the classes take place, therefore it is impossible to know long in advance.
Transportation is included but generally meals are not.
